  1. Great belt Review by Linus

Just bought mine and used on 2 15k training runs. Totally met my expectations. No bounce whatsoever and it can fit everything I need to carry on a long run. (Posted on 5/26/14)

  2. Excellent Hydration Belt Review by TJ

I had the honor of using Fitletic's 16 ounce hydration belt for a few runs this past week. Let me tell you, it was a pretty large step up from the old fuel belt I was using. The last brand name I used was "fuel belt"...decent for an entry level system, but lacking in tons of areas that I really didn't know there was a cure for until I got my Fitletic hydration belt.

I must say, I am sort of vain when I run, knowing I don't exactly look all pretty and the like, and then if I strap a belt on my waist, hips, butt or wherever it lands, then I just compound my stupid looks. That, coupled with the fact that I don't like to carry things around with me when I run, makes hydration belts a bit of a challenge for me.

Living in lovely Arizona where the average temperature is north of the temperature at Hell's Gate, running without water is, well, stupid. So, being stupid starts to trump looking stupid sometime in March usually.

I started my 1:45 minute run with the Fitletic belt pulled low around my hips. Being a guy with less junk in the trunk than a greyhound dog, it started slipping downwards. No problem, I adjusted up the clips making it tighter and away I went.

I have the larger 16 oz (total) bottles, so they are a wee bit heavier than the 7 oz bottles that was with my old fuel belt, but that really didn't bother me at all. I was glad to have that extra couple of ounces. The bottles didn't leak and I loved the quick release tops that are on there, much like the Camelback Podium bottle I use on my bike...you just squeeze the bottle and your liquid comes out, not a tooth harmed in any pulling process to open the valve...just point, squeeze, and drink. No slamming the valve shut either, just put it back in the belt, no leaking, no dripping, no mess.

I will admit that I wore the belt backwards or at least not in compliance with the pictures on Fitletic's website, http://www.fitletic.com . I wore the bottles, along with the pouch, on my backside and the buckle on the front. I just like wearing it like that as it feels more natural to me. I would think the other way, bottle more towards the front, would work just fine as well, maybe even better. I'll try that next time.

I squished 3 gels in my pouch, along with my iPod, and never had a problem getting gels out or anything falling out. I never even really felt it was back there. It was tough to access it as it was at my back, but that's because I chose to put it "backwards" and wear it that way. You could easily fit a normal sized smart phone (not those giant ones...but if you're carrying that, you should be sitting down anyway), some gels, and your keys in the pouch if needed. It's very generous.

Overall, I really like the hydration belt. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10. I love the squishiness of it, which makes it nice if it rubs on your skin during a run...it doesn't tear your skin up and rub your raw within 10 seconds like the other brands. I really like the stretchy belt where you can adjust it, as that was soft and supple as well. My complaint with other belts is that they just don't pull in enough for a 29 inch waist but Fitletic did! It did bounce a little bit but as the weight decreased as I consumed the water, it was less and less. I do think that if I wore the bottles more near the front, or the proper way it's suggested to be worn, there would be no bounce at all. In the neato cool factor department, the elastic "straps" that ensure the bottles stay firmly in place in their holders were a pretty slick idea and I love them. They're intuitive and make the process easier.

Now my wife wants one with pink piping on it for her self. I guess I'll be going shopping this weekend on Fitletic's website for her very own. (Posted on 3/4/14)

  3. Does it all! Review by joinsocal

I have used this belt from 5ks to Full Marathons. I was able to put my iphone, eye drops (my eyes get dry easily because of my contacts) and five gels (two on the outside and three in the pocket) I don't use the bib holder, but I can see that it would be useful. I love that you can make it really really tight or just snug depending on how you feel... I also like the fact that it doesn't make my stomach upset with the pressure on. If you are that type of person who just needs that reassurance of having water while you are running so you don't get dry mouth, then this belt is for you! I've found the best price to get them is at a race expo. Elimiates shipping cost. (Posted on 1/28/14)

  4. It just works! Review by Frank

Done two half marys with this belt already. For me it slightly turns to the side with the bottles stopping at 1 and 3 o clock positions when the belt is done shifting. I just leave it there since it doesn't cause any discomfort or off balance feeling. Otherwise, there is no bounce and the fit is great. (Posted on 1/16/14)

I have had mine for two years now with and have run everything from a 5k, 10K, 13.1 and Ragnar. The bottles do leak from time to time but worth it for the quailty of the belt. (Posted on 10/11/13)

  6. Perfect Belt!!! Review by SoonerMadden

Bought this over a year ago, use it on all ranks over 6K. Ran a 15K and a Half Mary with it... I must have liked it since I'm searching for the website to see what else they offer! It truly is a great product. I started with a Camel Pack, way over kill and too much bouncing. Then bought another belt system... Way too much bouncing. This material rides perfectly!!! I have had this for a whle now and there is no comparison to the competitors, this belt stays in place. I would have given it 5 start but I have also had issues with the water bottles leaking unfortunately. (Posted on 5/28/13)

  8. Belt is great Bottles are cheap Review by DAR
    Star

I love this belt and love how it stays in place with no movement even during a 13 mile run. However the quality of the belt far exceeds the cheep bottles that leaked since day 1. Amazing how the little things like a bottle leaking down your leg can turn an otherwise great designed product something you dread having to run with. The leaking bottle has made it so the elastic in the bottle pouches is now really stiff from the sticky energy drink soaking into the pouches. Making it tough to remove and replace the bottle while running. In all fairness this is the first hydration belt I have tried. So maybe they all leak down your leg and this is a normal thing. I've never worn a hydration belt, but as my distances got longer, I knew I needed one. I ordered mine online and it was shipped quickly. Sometimes the bottles leak a little if I squeeze them, but other than that, I couldn't imagine running without this belt. It is amazing! (Posted on 5/2/13)

  10. Finally success with hydration belt! Review by Susan
    Star

I just switched from another brand that annoyed me how much it moved around when I ran. I am short and my waist is high up, so this belt insisted that's where it would sit- which hurt because it was on my stomach. I was so nervous to try another brand of belt that seemed like I would have the same problem. I talked to the rep for the brand at their booth at the ING Miami Expo and she promised that this belt did not budge. I just tried it on my long run this morning and was so excited that it worked like a charm! The belt did not move unless I moved it! The only problem I had was trying to figure out where to put my Gu pouch, since the large pouch is only large enough for my phone. Thanks for making such a great product! (Posted on 2/2/13)

  11. Best belt ever! Review by Mandi T
    Star

I used this for a 1/2 and it was perfect. It never moved nor did it shift, unless I did the shifting. :) Can't wait to use it on my next run.

The only negative thing - might be that the bottles leaked if you filled it too much. 3/4 of the way is best. (Posted on 1/9/13)

  12. Nice hydration belt Review by Jeckel26
    Star

I used this for the first time during a marathon. I only had 1 of the water bottles but I didn't have any problems with it slipping or bouncing. Nice!

I did have one problem. Since I'm petite and wanted to wear this on my hip, the water bottle ended up rubbing right below my hip flexor.

I need to play with the positioning during training runs, but overall I'm happy with this. No bounce with one bottle (don't know when using both yet) and it didn't ride up. My running tights are the smooth type so many fuel belts will end up riding up. This didn't do that and stayed in place.

  13. Exactly what you need for long runs Review by DMC
    Star

This was the first belt I bought from iFitness and have since bought 1 more for myself and several as gifts. The belt fits perfectly on your hips and doesn't ride up or down. The bottles are easy to clean. Pouch is great for iphone and other necessities since there are gel slots on the belt.

There was a hiccup with my card when ordering my second belt online and the customer service department was very accessible, friendly, and prompt. When ordering online, I've always had fast delivery - 3 days to Hawaii. Every time I have seen iFitness at an expo, the sales people have been super friendly and approachable. Great company to support. (Posted on 11/20/12)

  14. Best running hydration belt I've ever used! Review by JRS
    Star

My friend talked me into purchasing one of these hydration belts at a race expo we went to. It is absolutely amazing!! No bouncing whatsoever which has been a huge problem with other belts. I have bought a total of 3 other brands before this one and used them a couple of times and quit because they bounced everywhere. This is my new favorite running accessory and I will use it forever! Worth every single penny I spent on it. (Posted on 11/14/12)

The only negative thing I can think of is that it seems hot to me. Other than that, I love my belt! (Posted on 11/7/12)
